1965	First appointed pastor; Rev. & Mrs. Johannes Rattel
1965 (May 16)	First worship service in a private home
1966	Purchase of property (236 Finch Avenue East in Willowdale)
1968	Construction started on church building
1970	Change of pastorate to Rev. & Mrs. Hans Knauer
1972	Dedication of church building ceremony
1977	Official registration as" German Evangelical Mission Church / Deutsche Evangelische Missions-Gemeinde"
1980	Change of pastorate to Rev. & Mrs. Peter Ermel
1981	Worship service celebrating final mortgage payment
1982	Start of regular worship services and weekly Bible studies also in English language
1983	Start of monthly bilingual family worship services
1984	Start of annual Vacation Bible School
1985	Registered name change to "Willowdale Evangelical Church / Deutsche Evangelische Missions-Gemeinde"
1990	Change of pastorate to Pastor Siegfried & Mrs Ingrid Riehl

Pastor Peter Ermel (now with our Lord) wrote:

" In May of 1965 a few immigrant families and a young pastor's couple from Germany met in a living room for the first worship service.

In time, others joined and school facilities were rented. Then, with the assistance of the Liebenzell Mission, land was purchased, and in 1968 that growing number of believers began construction on their house of worship. The building was dedicated in 1972."
